I came to know Marla both as a participant in her StrengthsFinder workshop, and then as a co-worker and collaborator in team development arenas. She is quick-witted, endearing, and someone I have come to admire both professionally and personally. As I collaborate with senior leaders in our organization who’ve worked with Marla, they are still referring to their own learning of their strengths many years later and how that has positively guided their leadership over the years.  Marla is a consummate professional and offers so much more to the work you do together than you could every ask for.

Jennifer Bergman, Senior Training Specialist, PeaceHealth

Taking Marla’s CliftonStrengths workshop changed my life. For the first time I understood my true leadership style and how my strengths support the work I do - personally and professionally.  Marla is an amazing coach who helps you recognize that choosing opportunities that play to your strengths allows you to do what you’re truly passionate about while adding value to any organization you work for.

Marla’s work coaching me through my CliftonStrengths exercise completely changed how I think about myself and my work habits. I’m now proud of what I once considered a weakness.

Gary Boyer, VP/Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, Umpqua Bank

Our team partnered with LiT Consulting to develop a two-session intro to CliftonStrengths. Not only did these sessions help individuals learn more about their own strengths and increase self-awareness, our work with Marla also improved team interactions and a  better integration of strengths across the department. For example, we now look at strengths for who to assign to support the onboarding of new team members (leveraging strengths such as Includer, Relator, Individualization), instead of simply looking at individuals roles (assigning a project manager to support a new project manager). This has expanded the opportunity for team members to participate in work based upon their CliftonStrengths and how those partner with others, which enhances engagement across the team. We also gained insight on how to manage interactions when strengths collide and how to watch out for that and improve partnership. Additionally, Marla assisted us with a sustainment plan and guidance for team building beyond the workshop in her consulting with our leadership team.

Marla’s strengths as a Learner and Relator stood out to me when she provided support to my team of consultants. Even without expertise in our subject matter, she was able to coach us to a new level of performance in just four sessions, and those improvements stayed in place for the long term.

Douglas A. Evans, Vice President and Process Engineer, Wells Fargo

(worked with Marla while serving as Performance Improvement Manager at PeaceHealth)

Applying what I learned from Marla’s coaching gave me a deeper understanding of the value I bring to an organization and made it easier for me to find work I continue to be passionate about.
