Strengths Pairings: The Most and Least Common

When I attended my certification training in 2014 (the FIRST step in becoming a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach - for the full story, see my LinkedIn profile), we talked a lot about Strengths pairings. For instance, it's not surprising to see Learner and Input in someone's top 5. Both are very curious and love to explore the world around them.

We also talked about the fact that it's much less likely to see Input and Self-Assurance traveling together. Input is a gatherer of external resources; Self-Assurance relies on its own internal compass to inform its decisions. (Side note: if you love opportunities to use the semicolon as much as I do, please give me a shout-out in the comments!)

This article from Gallup reveals some of the latest research about the Strengths that tend to show up together in the top 5 and the pairings that are the least common. Great stuff.

And wouldn't you know it...my husband has one of the rarest combos in his top 5: Empathy and Self-Assurance!
