Do Strengths Go with You on Vacation?

We recently returned from a brief but refreshing trip to Newport, OR, and I noticed a few things during our time away that, to me, answers the question, "Do Strengths go with you on vacation?"

I noticed that my Strategic is quick to come up with contingency plans - particularly when it comes to restaurants. I'm admittedly picky and have an allergy to wheat flour. And I get hangry VERY quickly. My husband, on the other hand, is high in Adaptability with Discipline at 32 and Activator at 33. In short, the man bends like a willow tree. That means he is happy to go along with Strategic's alternate plans.

I'm a lucky girl.

Oh, and we're both high in Learner, which means that on our walks we stop to read every plaque and map we encounter.

Thankfully, we're also both high in Self-Assurance, which means we're not at all self-conscious about reading every plaque and map we encounter. ;)

p.s. I took the pic next to this post from the bridge in Newport. Yes, THAT bridge. The ridiculously high one that we'll never cross on foot again. Don't ask me which Strengths possessed us to do that for the SECOND time...we must have exceedingly short memories.
